If you want to know the truth, there are some people on this Earth who are like crutches. They support you through something new, teach you how to get on your own two feet. They teach you how to be independent, and all of a sudden this whole new door of opportunity and possibility and downright beauty is in front of you. It’s at that moment in the doorway when you realize you can’t explore this new world with them. You can’t climb mountains or dive into oceans or fly through valleys with them. Your supports become restraints. They hold you back, and you have to let go.
